This September, Creality announced something that is going to hit the market soon, it’s the Sermoon D3 3D printer. I don’t have the printer standing right over here so I cannot show you all the details but before somebody is ever going to buy it or maybe some influencers will get it, I will take a closer look at this 3d printer and tell you all about the things that I can find on the website.
The Sermoon D series is tailor-made for industrial design. Be it prototyping, jigs & fixtures making, or design verification, it gets them all covered. It can even mass-produce some small but oddly shaped parts or products. The beauty is that it delivers prints rapidly with stable, high quality in a cost-effective way.

What are the Features of Sermoon D3?
Industrial Grade Stability
Sturdy frame featuring thick metal plates and 4 vertical aerospace aluminum profiles. All the X,Y and Z axis are assisted with stainless steel linear shafts of 60HRC hardness.
The printer holds well against the inertia force of the moving printing head.
- 720h (30 days) non-stop steady printing*
- 8,000h failure-free steady printing*

Precision-made to Minimize Mechanic Errors
The integrated XY-axis gantry system is CNC machined with 0.0lmm precision for a seamless fit. The precise high-torque motors and durable timing belts and pulleys further reduce mechanical errors and boost accuracy.
Reliable Extrusion at 300℃ Temperature
The “Sprite”dual-gear direct drive extruder delivers strong extrusion and retraction force. The inner-polished copper alloy nozzle and bi-metal heat break work smoothly at a lasting high temperature with less heat creep. And, it has two large 5015 cooling fans.
14 Filaments at Choice
- Regular Filaments: PLA, PLA-Wood, PETG, PET;
- High-strength Filaments: ABS, PA66, ASA, PC, PC-ABS;
- Flexible Filaments: TPU95A, TPC;
- Wear-resistant Filaments: PLA-CF, PA66-CF, PET-CF.
Big But Also Delicate
Sermoon D3 offers a generous 300×250×300mm build volume. Meanwhile, this stable and accurate machine creates breathtakingly delicate prints featuring 0.1 mm accuracy, with layer texture hardly visible.
Up to 5 Times of Printing Speed
The advanced stepper motor driver chip enables 1/256 micro-stepping, realizing smooth printing at up to 5 times of speed. The production capacity will increase by several times for a given period of time.
- PLA-2 times of speed on default*
- PLA-Up to 3 times of speed*
- ABS-Up to 5 times of speed*

Connected for a Smarter Way of Working
Remote Printing: Once the printer is connected via WiFi or RJ45 Ethernet port to the LAN or Internet, users can print from a PC or phone with Creality Print software or Creality Cloud App.
Remote Monitoring: With the built-in webcam, users can monitor the printing progress in real-time on the Creality Cloud. Time-lapse filming is also allowed.
Scale It Up With Multi-printers Control
With multiple Sermoon D3 printers connected to the LAN or Internet, models can be batch-printed according to a single command from Creality Print. Users can also divide a large model into small parts and print them with more printers.
Get Things Streamlined
From one-click model slicing and auto-leveling to model preview and remote control, the entire workflow is streamlined.
Less Cracking with Heat Contained
The heat bed adjustable up to 110C matches well with the heat-retaining enclosure. The print now has an even and hot enveloping atmosphere free from ambient airflow, thus less cracking and edge curling.
Considerate Safety Features
The 2 built-in HEPA air filters will purify PM0.3 particles and toxic compounds generated during printing with ABS and other filaments.
When the door is opened during printing, the printer will send alarms, pause and quickly cool down, so as to prevent scalding or pinching.
What Are the Free Accessories to Facilitate Work in The Package?
Both PC and PEI spring steel sheets. Easily stick to different materials. Quick print removal with a slight bend.
An extra hardened steel nozzle (7.8 Mohs Hardness, 8.0μm/m•°C expansion coefficient) kit is included to print with fiber-reinforced materials. You can replace it in 5 minutes.
A professional tool kit is also available for the convenience of users.

Sermoon D3 3D Printer Guides:
What is the difference between the PC/PEI spring steel sheets?
The PEI has a medium level of adhesion and long life, which makes it good for long-term use. The PC has a high level of adhesion, which makes it good for printing special materials that are easy to bend and don’t stick well to the platform.
What is the difference between auxiliary leveling and automatic leveling?
The machine can be leveled in two ways: auxiliary leveling and automatic leveling. Automatic leveling is used to adjust the surface of the printing platform board, while auxiliary leveling is used to make small changes to the platform board. For algorithm compensation adjustment, it is recommended to perform auxiliary leveling first and then automatic leveling.
What consumables can I print on?
The Sermoon D3 supports ABS/PLA/PLA-wood/PA/PET/PET-CF/PC-ABS/TPU/TPE/TPC/ASA/PETG/PC/PLA-CF/PA-CF/PA66 and other consumables.
Does it support remote control?
It supports the use of the Creality Cloud App for mobile phone remote control, supports the use of Creality Print LAN control, and there is a camera inside the machine, that can be viewed remotely.
What’s the printing speed?
It supports PLA printing at speeds of up to 150 mm/s and ABS printing at speeds of up to 250 mm/s. PLA’s best print quality speed is 80 mm/s.
How do I set the slice parameters?
1. You can use CrealityPrint and choose Sermoon D3 to see the recommended slice parameters for 14 consumables.
2. Open the random data in the USB flash drive that comes with the machine, and find the Sermoon D3 recommended consumables slicing parameter table to view the slicing parameter settings.
How to feed the filaments?
1. To replace the same filament, please click “return on the machine screen” and follow the instructions to exit the current material, and then load the consumables to be replaced, click “feed,” and follow the instructions.
2. To replace with a different filament, click on the machine screen to return materials and follow the on-screen instructions.
How much does the Creality Sermoon D3 cost?
Compared to professional 3D printers, Sermoon D3 costs $2,499. The Creality Official Store offers information and pre-orders for the Sermoon D3.
